Things to Remember After an Accident

What to Do

• Stay calm. Accidents happen – don’t panic.
• Be safe. Move your vehicle out of the way of traffic and turn on your hazard warning lights.​
• Don’t admit fault. Don’t admit fault to anyone – we’ll investigate the accident once we have all the facts​.

Who to Call

• Call police. Call the police even if the accident is minor​.
• Call us. Report the accident to Forge immediately – regardless of fault​.

Information to Get

• Photos. Take photos to document the vehicle damage, accident scene, and position of vehicles following the accident​.
• Other Drivers. Get information (name, address, phone number, and insurance card) for all other parties involved in the accident.
• Passengers. Get contact information (name, address, and phone number) for any passengers in vehicles involved in the accident​.
• Witnesses. Get contact information (name, address, and phone number) for anyone that witnessed the accident​.
